A place for the business you want to build

Start where you are.
Keep your progress.

You can be deciding on a name, planning a solo service or preparing to bring people on. Start & grow gives those decisions a home.

Save your starting point

Your working name, location, solo or team plan and optional launch date. Come back as your plans take shape.

Put numbers behind your idea

Use your own pay goal, expected visits and expenses to estimate a starting price per visit. Keep a separate startup budget.

A USD planning estimate, not a profit forecast.

Follow an automatic launch path

See formation and setup actions based on your state, structure, worker plan, service model and target date. Unfinished work returns to the top of your plan without waiting for PetCareOps staff.

From registration to first booking

Formation is only the beginning.

PetCareOps turns your location and target date into a formation path, then continues through the work that makes the company operational. Each unfinished action stays in view and connects to the PetCareOps tool where the next work happens.

Customers complete required identity, signature, payment and attestation steps on the issuing agency's site. Official approvals, filing fees, coverage and professional reviews remain with those providers.

01Form the business in your state

Follow a state-specific path for the structure, name, registered agent, filing authority, tax accounts, pet-care rules, local requirements and recurring filings.

02Finish the EIN

Go to the IRS application at the right point, save the confirmation securely and use the IRS Business Tax Account retrieval path when eligible.

03Build the company record book

Gather the accepted filing, ownership agreement, name records, EIN confirmation, licenses, resolutions and amendments.

04Open business banking

See the documents banks commonly request and separate business funds before revenue and expenses begin.

05Start books, taxes and insurance

Set the tax calendar, record startup and operating costs, and work through the pet-care coverage that matches the services and team.

06Connect payments and hiring

Move into Stripe verification, payouts, worker classification, employer setup and your PetCareOps hiring requirements.

07Publish the brand

Build the business website, connect branded email, prepare client documents and review the public booking path.

08Rehearse the first booking

Walk through inquiry, consultation, care instructions, agreement, scheduling, care report, invoice, receipt and follow-up.

From planning to everyday work

One workspace after the paperwork.

Move from preparation into expenses, payments, hiring, services, website and care setup without starting over in another startup product.

Build a business that looks like you.

Create a website with your services, story and brand. Preview your draft privately before publishing to your own PetCareOps address.

During onboarding, we can help connect a matching business email address and forward eligible replies to your verified inbox.

Start solo. Prepare to grow.

Keep your owner account while choosing to provide care yourself. Set your service area and availability, then prepare the journey from a booking request to an invoice.

As you prepare to hire, organize recruiting plans and applicant stages alongside your coverage needs. Named team accounts have no per-person subscription fee.

Explore hiring tools

Email requires individual setup; it is not a standalone mailbox. Client card collection becomes available after the business completes its own Stripe setup. Visit workflows and care reports are included according to the selected plan.

How to begin

A small first step. A plan to build on.

  1. 1

    Choose your starting point

A working business name is enough. No client list, team or imported records are required.

  2. 2

    Choose how to start

Start a 14-day Lite trial without a card. If you choose a paid plan, review the exact price, renewal, refund, cancellation method and applicable tax before entering your card.

  3. 3

    Open your workspace

Use the secure owner setup link to create your password and open your workspace. Paid signup opens after Stripe confirms payment. Build at your pace.

Before you take the first step.

Do I need an established business to start?

No. You can start a 14-day Lite trial without a card using a working business name and no existing clients, hired sitters or imported records. PetCareOps sends a secure link to set up the owner account. If you choose paid signup instead, owner setup follows confirmed Stripe payment.

How much of formation does PetCareOps handle?

PetCareOps automatically builds and maintains a state-specific self-service plan for the 50 states and District of Columbia. It covers structure and name decisions, the state filing authority, tax and employer accounts, pet-care and local checks, suggested dates, official handoffs and progress tracking. You complete identity, signature, payment and attestation steps directly with the government or financial provider. No PetCareOps staff review is required to continue, and marking a step complete does not replace the agency's approval.

What happens after the state approves the business?

Your activation path continues through the EIN and confirmation, company records, the current federal ownership-reporting check, business banking, books and tax dates, insurance, Stripe payments and payouts, worker setup when applicable, client documents, website and email, and a rehearsal of the first booking. Official applications, signatures, financial credentials, professional advice and provider purchases still happen with the responsible agency or provider.

What does it cost to get started?

Try Lite for 14 days without a card. Paid PetCareOps plans start at $29.99 per month, plus applicable tax. External formation, insurance, domain and provider expenses are separate. Review subscriptions and what they include.

Can I use this if I already run a business?

Yes. Start & grow also supports an existing business. You can update your launch plan for your next stage and review your setup; importing records is optional. Start with an existing business.
